We are a congregational church, with individual privileges and responsibilities to love and serve Christ’s people, whether to encourage or share or restore or simply welcome (Eph 4:11-12).
Recognizing both the need for and gifts of leadership and teaching, Grace Bible Church is led by a plurality of elders (some paid, some lay) who seek to shepherd God’s people and to oversee the ministries of Grace in line with our Confession and Values (1 Pt 5:1-4, Eph 4:11, and Titus 1:5-9)
Andrew spent the first fifteen years of his life in a Christian home, with godly parents, attending a good church. He used this Christian environment to convince himself that he must be saved. While headed toward a career in golf, the Holy Spirit convinced Andrew that all of his righteousness was like filthy rags and he was converted at the age of fifteen. Following his senior year of high school, Andrew was called by God to be a minister of the Gospel. This calling has been confirmed through college (B.A. in Bible, minor in Greek), graduate school (M.A. in Theology) and a pastoral internship at Hampton Park Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. Andrew and his best friend Jessica were married in 2002 and the Lord has kindly given them five children: Gloria, Isaiah, Micah, Luke, and Kate. God brought Andrew to Grace Bible Church in 2008 where he serves Christ and His Body as Pastor for Teaching.
Andy is grateful for God’s kindness and mercy to many generations of his family. He grew up in a Christian home, hearing the gospel from his parents and in church. At a young age, the Lord opened his eyes to see his sin and need for a savior, and he trusted in Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life. After high school, Andy went to a large state university to study Finance, but the Lord had other plans. After transferring to a much smaller school, Andy finished his B.A. in Economics before moving to Louisville, KY to pursue a M.Div. in Theology. While in seminary he met his wife Joan, and they have been blessed with three children – Anya, Tabitha, and Jair. After seminary, Andy was a pastoral intern at Clifton Baptist Church in Louisville where he and Joan were members for more than 10 years. While going to school part-time, Andy worked full-time in the telecom industry, most recently as a Client Manager with IBM. He came to Grace Bible Church in October 2013 and is glad to serve as Associate Pastor for Discipleship and Administration.
Originally from West Virginia, Mat came to South Carolina to pursue a B.A. in Bible and his M.Div. God has blessed Mat with his wife Lori and has given them two children, Karis and Asher, to shepherd. Mat and Lori have attended GBC since 2002. While at Grace Mat has served as an intern, administrative assistant, youth leader, deacon, and now he is thrilled and humbled to serve as an elder. He currently works as a Product Manager with SYNNEX Corporation. Mat has a love for teaching and encouraging others in their walk with God. He is grateful for GBC where God has shown him the beauty of the Gospel for all of life.
Robert is a charter member of Grace and counts himself blessed to have served Christ as a deacon and now as an elder at GBC. He is the owner of Hendricks Electric Company, an electrical services company serving the upstate of South Carolina. Robert and his wife Theresa are thankful for a church that preaches God’s Word, assists them in provoking their six children to love God with heart, soul and mind and exalts Christ as the One who deserves our worship.
Recognizing both the need and gifting of skilled servants with high integrity, Grace Bible Church is wonderfully served by task-oriented deacons who see to the physical needs of the body, the building and benevolence (Acts 6:1-7 and 1 Tim 3:8-13).

Originally from a dairy farm in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Brian came to South Carolina to study and receive an undergraduate and seminary degree. Brian grew up in a Christian home with godly parents; however, Brian knew that just being from a Christian home did not make him a Christian. The Lord gloriously saved Brian while he was in high school and transferred him from the domain of darkness into the glorious Kingdom of Christ. Brian is so thankful for his childhood sweetheart, Morgan, who would eventually become his wife five years ago. Brian is grateful for the Lord leading them to Grace Bible Church where they hear Christ-centered preaching and experience genuine fellowship with other believers. Some of Brian’s interests include: reading, hunting, getting together with friends from church, and traveling with his wife.
