Meet the Tysons

Tim and Heather Tyson moved their young family to Greenville from Florida in 2017, and immediately began looking for a church. They had recently had twin daughters, Harvest and Harmony, and were searching for a place for the whole family to call home - a place that met all of their needs. They wanted to find a church with good, Biblical, sound doctrine teachings. “That was of the utmost importance to us,” Heather said.

They had moved to the heart of the Bible Belt. How hard could it be?

Turns out, it was more challenging than they had thought.

Although the Tysons visited multiple churches during the next few years, they continued to feel like they had only one foot in and one foot out. “Nothing ever felt quite right,” Heather added. But then, Harvest and Harmony struck up a friendship with a few of the kids from Grace Bible Church, and the family visited the church for the first time. And that’s when they finally felt like a part of the Biblical community they had been looking for.

The Tysons said that what drew them to become members at Grace were all of the families who attend here. “The young and the old all come together, joining with people who attend from all around the area — not just from the same part of town,” Tim said. “We love that about Grace. Our family is now planted and learning, growing, and worshipping with both feet firmly on the ground.”
